"After opening my new business, I realized I had let all fitness go in my life as the new endeavor we had taken on was all-consuming. I was also struggling with a few herniated discs and sciatica. Additionally, I was told I had the beginning of arthritis in my neck. I knew it was time to do something. I found Sharne and he not only helped me meet my fitness goals, but far exceed them. He worked with my limitations and as I got stronger, they became less and less limiting. My back is completely healed now and no longer an issue. As a teenager, I was always pencil thin and never worried about weight issues. The gym intimidated me. I never thought about fitness or learning what everyone should know about maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. After 15 years at a desk job, my weight ballooned from 135 pounds to just over 200 pounds. I had unhealthy eating habits and developed high blood pressure. I lacked the energy and desire for physical activity. In 2010, I lucked out in being paired with Sharne Hill as my personal trainer. We discussed my goals: weight loss, increased muscle tone, increased energy, building confidence in the gym, and just feeling better. Over 5 months, the results have been dramatic and beyond my expectations. I have lost over 40 pounds and my body fat % has dropped from 24% to 13%. My waist size has decreased from a 36 to a 30. My blood pressure is now normal and I no longer have to take daily medication. The best part about working with Sharne has been the change in my mental state. I have learned the basic principles of healthy eating and activity including the relationship between food intake and exercise. I now feel confident when I am in the gym. This is an education that will benefit me for the rest of my life. Sharne is patient, encouraging, motivating, and a good teacher. I knew from day one that Sharne was someone who takes a personal interest in my success. Every session I learn something new and walk away with more confidence in my abilities. Today I have a better self-image and know that I am in the best shape of my life.
